1. Opening Weekend Sparks the Season

The season kicks off in full swing on May 24 when the Island Kingdom Water Park officially opens. This splash-filled section of the park serves as a refuge from Denver’s rising summer temperatures and features 11 water attractions perfect for cooling off in style. From the roar of the wave pool to winding waterslides, it’s a sun-drenched playground that draws families and thrill-lovers alike.

Daily operations begin on May 26, marking the start of seven-days-a-week access to the entire park. From late August through early January, Elitch Gardens will continue weekend openings, extending the excitement well past summer’s end.
